Pythagoras discovers the octave.

Like, where were you, man?

Ohhh, that all brings back nightmares.

I hope you mean the maths and not the music Andrew.

Thrilled to see Dysthymiac in any list with Chris The HitchenPost, I followed your link to him to discover his newest piece is on The Late NormanMailer that lovable old wifebasher.

I just read for the first time, one of Norm's old novels, a first edition found in a junkshop, and was thrilled to see he quoted the lyric of a 1934 song I love 'Deep Purple Night'.

The book has a great dustwrapper painting.

Hi Annie

We love the Hitch and his claret flavoured post-Marxism and his ugly public spats with his theosop as opposed to just sop, brother Peter.

I can't even picture Mailer without drawing to mind his public flogging by our own dear Germaine. He SO hadn't trained for that left hook heh?

I loved 'The Executioner's Song' for some of the same reasons I loved Capote's 'In Cold Blood' and some very different ones as well.

I wonder if English rockers 'Deep Purple' had the same origins. I suspect not the same romantic references.

Manners, please.

What, this old thing?

Pants, I loved those other drawings you put up a while back and I could say why I did. I love this one too and can't say why. Some days are like that. Some poems too.

Speaking of which, your poems in OWP are fabulous. Not surprised the editor wants to see more.

Hi Signs

It's an old cartoon I did in about 1990. I'm finding all these things as I pack. It's from the same era as Theatre of Australian Native Animals though.

OWP is a fantastic magazine. I will try to get some more poems in it and hope I live long enough. Thanks for your kind words.

Sorry? What haven't I done? Whatever it was I didn't mean it. Now I sound like flippin' Take That! Ah the guilt.

Has it become ironically cool to quote Take That lyrics now?

Honoria G.

p.s. I think Germaine is great, wish I'd seen her chew up Mailer & spit out the bits.

Your Dameship

It is cool if you say so (and I did so).

I looked on YouTube because I felt sure this famous interview would have been reproduced as it's been shown on television a number of times. Not so. Germ was great and still has her moments.
